    Granddaddy Basin, Uinta Utah

Two friends and I went up, for the first time to this location. The total distance was around 14 miles. We got up to the trailhead around 8pm on Friday night and hiked in a bit. Saturday we hiked up to Pine Island Lake, stopping by the other lakes on our route. There were several hail storms on Saturday, but the weather cleared up after an extended stay at Fish Hatchery Lake under my tarp. We hiked out Sunday afternoon, back at our car arriving around 8pm.

Nice setup, and nice photos! You definitely got some settling after the front came through- that water is glassy!

I'm looking forward to getting up your way next month; heading for South Fork of the Snake River in Idaho for some camping/fishing. We hope to beat the snow, but will be prepared for anything.

Haven't been out that way since 2001. Looks like a good time.

Is that olive no-seeum on the hammock?

Yes. I picked it up at a local military surplus store. It was designed to go over a military cot.

It was forecasted to snow. Fortunately, we only got a few Hail storms on Sunday, otherwise it was clear.

This is just the 'tip of the iceberg'. I go on backpacking trips to a different area in the Uintas several times every year.
