Line loc 3's for tarp ridge line?

Has anyone used the Lineloc 3's for your tarp ridgeline? I am just trying different things out and have been using these for all the corner guy outs on my tarp and I thought why not use them for the ridgeline as well. I run a single line off each end of the tarp, so I would put the lineloc on a continuous loop and larkshead it onto the D-ring of the tarp. From that I would have a single line out to the tree with a dutch hook on the end to clip around the tree. I know I would have to put a slippery half hitch in it since I need to do this with the guy lines already. Do you think they would hold up ok?

Yep, have a gaggle of tarps so the family can join me out backpacking. Each one uses line locs.
In high wind or heavy rain you can loop the line around the end tab to lock it in place. If you need a visual search for "speed hooks" on you tube and you'll see people using the same technique. Prevents any line slipping.
Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same

I use them on my cuben tarp. I found any of the amsteel lines(zing-it lash-it) are too slippery even with a half-hitch.

I've done it with lash-it. I pull it tight and tie a slippery half hitch around the narrower "waist" of the line loc3. Works great.

I don't like using paracord for my tarps because it stretches so much. With zing-it and lash-it, I find that it slips in line-loc 3's, and if I'm going to use a line-loc 3, it would specifically be to avoid tying a knot. No worries, HYOH.

Interesting idea. I use and love them as well. Just so you know, you can get the line loc 3's with a continuous ribbon loop already on them from Zpacks. That's how I attach them to my tarp. As far as I could find, they are the only ones that have them both ways.http://www.zpacks.com/large_image.sh...oop_loc3_l.jpg

I use them, sewn on, use zing-it, I am concerned how they would hold up in a very strong wind...I'm thinking 40 MPH +...I've had them in some pretty good winds and they are holding up so far, if they ever fail it will be in a torrential downpour and high wind.
