    Shock Cord and Cord Locks

So I've been using a poncho liner as my light weight (relatively speaking, of course) underquilt for my BBXLC. I'm going out this coming weekend, so last weekend I decided to buy some shock cord to help cinch up the ends and to hang from my suspension (idea stemming from some Shug videos). The system seems to work pretty well, but the cord locks I have for the UQ suspension seem to slip every so often which allows the UQ to sag. I haven't tested this in true conditions yet, but I have a feeling I may run into the problems. It seems as the shock cord stretches, the diameter shrinks and the cord locks lose their grip. Does anyone have a go to cord lock that is the proper size to fulfill its function on both stretched and unstretched shockcord? Is there any alternatives (knot perhaps)? Shockcord is 1/8" diameter.

    Thanks!!

I have had the same issue in the past. What I have had good results with is this. After adjusting to the proper tension, pull 2-3 finger widths additional on the tension. Then tie a slippery half hitch type knot so that it will not pull back through the cord lock. Holds the tension through the wildest slumbering acrobatics, and is easily pulled out for readjustment.Hope this helps.
