I now have plastic line locks on my tarp ridge lines same as I use on guy lines, I'm a little concerned as to how well they'll hold up on the ridgeline when cinched down hard in a storm, anyone know if metal line locks exist? Thanks.

doubt it. But if durability is your concern, why not use a prusik instead of any hardware?
I'm pretty sure they exist for sailing, but are pretty pricey.

These are great for guylines, I wouldn't suggest them for ridgelines, but I use prussics and may switch to dutch stuff for my guys.
