Just saw your post. I added a ridge line to mine but it's an older Clark. I hang my glasses and such from it.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

I used a ridgeline for awhile - just from hoop to hoop to keep the hoops from falling when the bug net was open on my 250. I hung a small organizer from it, too.
But it was just something else to get tangled up so I didn't keep it for long.

I added a ridgeline and totally modded the suspension on a Clark NX 200. This suspension would work on any of the North Americans.

Good video. I liked it. For the OP, I do use a ridgeline. It holds my glasses, and sometimes my socks. I've never had a problem with the hoops of my TX-250 flopping over. I do have a problem with the ridgeline going slack after I get in, though.

I've added a ridgeline (a real ridgeline) to my Clark nx-250 and can explain how if you're interested? A lack of ridgeline might be the Clark's only flaw.

Why is it a flaw? Sounds like you've got a good story about why you think so, and I'm sure we're many who'd like to hear it Personally I've never seen a need for a ridgeline on my nx-250, but if it'll somehow improve my nights, I'm obviously interested

Not really a great story, just an experience i had while camping with some buddies a few years back. We were up at Bong State park in Wisconsin and the only site that was hammock friendly-ish had 2 trees that were about 20ft apart and i had a really hard time getting the tree straps up high enough to get a good lay in the hammock. I ended up tightening the suspension up so much, just to keep from hitting the ground once i got in that i could barely get the bug net closed. That was a very uncomfortable night in my Clark.

One of the best things about a ridgelined hammock is the you can tighten up the suspension as much as you like and it doesn't affect the lay of the hammock.

I always have the ridgeline with me and have only needed to use it one time, but i hardly ever put it on the hammock. IMO the Clark is so easy to set-up and i don't thing the angle of the suspension is as critical on it as it is on other gathered ends.
