Hello all. Just finished my new hammock made from Dutch's Hexon 2.4 Coyote Brown in a single layer. When I received the fabric I looked at it closely and noticed the different grid pattern. Sewing the material was a snap. I started with 153" and ended with exactly 144". Put a 120" ridgeline on and took it for a spin. Boy is this nice. Just a tiny amount of stretch with my 250lb in it, though on first impressions I may cut the hammock back to 11.5'. I'll play with it a few more days before deciding - it just feels a little long. The width is 59 inches - it started at 62 inches and I did a 1/2" roll hem down the sides.
If the wife likes it then we build another for her. Our other gathered ends are a little long in tooth and need replacement. Final weight is 17.85 oz - about 6oz lighter than our old dual layer hammocks.
* Update I slept in it last night and the long length isn't bad at all. With the lack of stretch combined with the length, I had a fairly flat lay with no calf ridge. Now its the wife's turn.
