    Picked up a nubé

Ok so I know this thing isn't the most favored here but SMR was having a garage sale and I
Picked it up for 100 bucks less then retail.

My thoughts are this thing is fantastic ( I know I'll get some hell), we had about 5 hrs worth of torrential down pour and 30 mph gusts this past weekend and I stayed completly dry.

The weight does suck but as for the bug protection its fantastic, im not a big fan of having the bug net close to face and if there's a mosquito with in 5sq mile radius it's trying to bite me in about 32sec even with half a can of 100% deet and permethrin.

There are several things I plan on changing and my biggest dislike is no porch mode but I could live with that.

One thing I love about SMR is the company's mission maybe im a sucker but I its fantastic

My buddy slept in his Asym zip and woke up wet,

This won't replace the war bonnet but it will certainly see se use,100bucks off I couldn't resist

Don't mind the dirty socks they were drying out

Hey, as long as your happy, that's all that counts. Don't fall into the mindset that I gotta impress the folks on HF.... Looks cool to me..

+100 on this. All too many times, I see where items get shot down if they are not "in" with what the majority of HF members feel. Personally, I think it's a great set up

If you look at the old posts, it's not about what's "in", it's about sharing of ideas. That is what makes this community great. As we migrate farther from the elders of HF, we seem to move a little into the Webs version of what they want us to be.

If you like it, then I like it for you if that's anything of value. You should always test what you want and decide for yourself. I agree with you as I also like that it's different. There is a place for all of us here.

I also like their philosophy on what they stand for and hope they succeed.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Intriguing for sure and wonderful for those that want full bug protection. Never thought of lack of porch-mode but it seems a very worthy product. Been waiting to hear more about it.
One never knows what one will like and gives it a try. An open mind is a mighty fine thing.
    Looks cool.

I am a person who needs full bug protection, I have what I consider sweet blob mosquito's love me. There are several things I plan on changing but overall I think it's fantastic very well made I can't find a single glitch in the stitching and its sturdy, we were in some pretty nasty weather and it held up well, i plan on doing a video sometime this week on my thoughts and what I plan on changing.

Personally I like being different and standing out and not conforming, on the trail I was asked several times what the hell is that thing and I enjoy every min of it

It looks like it is completely bomb proof. No way should you get wet, or atacked by bugs. I also like the under hammock gear storage option. Have not seen one in person, but the demo video and Derek Hanson's review were enough to make me look at it with envy. Hope you emjoy it and get many years, and miles, of use out of it.

Wow- that looks like a comfy arial cave. It seems like it'll shine when the weather gets worse. Congrats!

I seriously considered a Nube a while back, but decided against it only because of the weight. But I really loved the bug net and gear storage. Maybe I'll pick one up one day just to have it in my arsenal of opportunities.

    Thanks for sharing!
