Yeah, I did one for my Dutch 11'. It did seal at the sides of the hammock... as long as I didn't move around too much.
I ended up putting a 8" skirt, cut from the leftover material, around the bottom. It still worked out cheaper than buying twice the length of the narrow material.

Any follow up on making this for an 11ft hammock with about a 109inch ridgeline. I made a fronkey for my old 11ft using 2 lengths of rsbtr .9 oz noseeum sewn together. At 54 inches for the width it was too wide, dragged on the ground an sagged a lot. Had to make modifications which ended up making it look ugly, but worked in the long run. The 62 inch .5 oz would be great but it may be to short folded over. GadgetUK437 it looks like your finished width from ridgeline to bottom is about 40 inches. Any one else find the sweet spot for width? My goal is to make this type of bugnet, not worried about Ultra light so any material would work. 54inch wide I would probably end up wasting 12 in, and the 62 in I would have to add to. Any recommendations and dimensions would be welcomed.

Use two strips of 54", cut off 12" of each side and make snake skins with the offcuts.

I know this is an old thread, but curious if anyone has figured out how much extra is needed for a larger hammock? I was thinking if I ordered 4 yrds of the wider NS50 I would use 3.5yrds folded over for the main length then could cut two 9" strips at 62" long from the remaining half yard to add to the bottom? Think this would work on a 10.5' hammock?
