    Tadpole Tarp Recieved, some feedback

Some things are worth posting. Support small businesses.

Double ordered a plain jane ninja black tadpole on monday. Tuesday morning I recieved an email from WL asking if it was a mistake. Refund was administered immediately for one of the tarps. Recieved my tarp 4 business days later.

It was packaged nicely and the instant I put my hands on it I was impressed.

Material feels great and the stitching is the best I've seen on any gear I have ever owned. 10/10.

Looking forward to making this part of my lightweight kit and as a loner tarp. Picking up some silicone to seal the ridgeline when I get a chance.

After some use I will get some weights and feedback from the field. This support is to just show the customer service I recieved.

Two thumbs up to Wilderness Logics.

ps.. the black color is the bomb. do it... you know you want to. setup with grey lash-it it's gonna look slick.

WL gear is definitely top notch quality. I've got a few pieces of gear from them.

I completely agree. I've ordered multiple times from WL and will continue to because of the stellar workmanship and customer service.

I just got the Tadpole recently as well. I'm very happy with the weight and size (previously was using the tiny Hennessy Asym tarp). Haven't had the chance to use it out on the trail yet, but I can't wait.

Don't worry about sealing the ridgeline until after you have a problem. I hung mine for 2 1/2 months in Maine and experienced almost daily rains with nary a drop of water. We don't get much rain during the season here in Florida but 2 years ago at the Sherpa Hang we had a 45 min. deluge. When I made it back to the hammock everything was dry.

YMMV but others have reported the same experiences with the tadpole not leaking.

I was out with my tadpole last weekend. Dumped Saturday night. No problem with the ridge line. Absolutely dry. I won't bother to seal till I need to.

First time I used my Tadpole of the same specifications as yours it was as an experiment on the ground and slept dry and sound through a severe thunderstorm. Got 3 inches of rain and woke up to a pool of water on top the back end of the tarp but not a drop inside. That thing rocks!

My tadpole center seam had a few small leaks when I got it but has been flawless since I sealed it. It just weathered 6 inches of torrential rain in ~5 hours.

Thanks for the review OP. I have a Noah 12 and it's more tarp than I need on some occasions. I was looking at the tad pole and the product reviews have been excellent. Nice to hear a positive customer service story to match.

For the $ you cant beat the tadpole, and if you get one or two doors it will get you into winter camping until you decide if a winter tarp is needed. You also can bring just one door and fend off most any downpour/wind.The build quality is 1st rate.
