Thanks. Switching to LineLoc 3´s on the tarps ridgelines was pretty much the first thing I did on my V2. Works well, as shown on the video a simple slippery knot secures the thing if the winds are really blowing. I kept the original Line-Lok´s on the guy lines since it´s easier to either place the stakes far out, or using a Marlin spike hitch with the stake if needed to place the stake close to the tarp.
Oh, you´ll get a Scandinavian (swedish attempt of norwegian) pronunciation of Draumr in the video below.

Ok, I have seen the adds for the ammock in the passed posts..................
Not any thing new that I have found out for myself.
I have been working on a winter under quilt and have found that it really is extra weight that is not needed.
the Amock is a good hammock.....for short b
hikes or car camping
with the air matress to make it work well the under quilt is really not needed.
the tarp is the big question,
to get the coverage in a storm
you need a tarp that is about 9 square feet larger....
What is the selling source for the "new" Line-Lok 3s...?
I see lots of places with the Minis...

I like the line locs on the new tarp. The ridgeline staps will slip in high winds so back the cinch with a slippery half hitch.
Unless the wind and rain is sideways the tarp does what tarps do. Can always zip the bugnet to stop mist and some wind.

Hi all. I'm set to take the Amok plunge, but have seen several videos in which people are having some trouble with the bug net sitting on their heads both in the lying and sitting positions; anyone have any insight/tips into this?
About five posts up you can see one way in my video. That works at least in laying position. Another method could be to attach a tent pole to the ends and have it rest on top of the ridge line. Like the pole tarp mod. Not sure how that works in lounge mode though.
Great to know, thanks Shug!
