This thread has a WD with end poles, poles we use are .340 Easton Expedition Grade Alum.
MULTICAM WINTER DREAM
Thanks for posting a reply. In the pictures, it appears that with the end pole mod the tarp can put in porch mode without trekking poles by lengthening the guy lines. Is that right? The bending of the poles can be used to lift a side of the tarp?
I'm getting excited about this setup. I'm wondering if it could be setup without trees. I've been considering some paddling trips were there aren't many trees (beachy shores) and am wondering if this can serve as a sunscreen even without trees.
Have you tried setting this up like a tunnel tent?
I just ordered some fabric samples from ripstopbytheroll and may get one of your rigs. As a potential customer, I suggest posting as many pics/videos as possible to convince us.
With the right length support poles i don't see why not.... this is a thread I put together on going to ground, while not a WD I certainly see no reason why you couldn't accomplish the same thing with a WD. When we slow down from the holiday rush I'll see if i can get a WD setup on the ground with poles.
GOING TO GROUND!!!
The poles that go underneath, please share some information... Length? Do they collapse? I've gathered information for external poles.
As a follow up, I ordered an 11' WD with center pole mod. I haven't yet determined how I will bling out the tie-downs and doors... suggestions? I like my Fleaz setup on my Hennesey... but I'm not sure if that is the right way to go or not. I have them on shock cord attached to the corners, then I have 6' guy lines tied to my groundhog stakes. I've never had doors before, not sure how all that will work.
My new gear arrived! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1455852537.607973.jpg
Hopefully, I can hang both of them up this weekend. I went with an 11' winter dream with center pole mod. Two pull outs. Sil-poly.
