I was looking online & found this photo. So here is a serious question; How exactly do you get up & down? And when on top, what do you do if you need to go to the restroom?

there are some videos around showing these. I think you use the hammocks as a ladder. top hammock is first in and last out.

for the bathroom i keep a gatorade bottle on hand...

Photos like this are of course staged and set up for promotions to make kids think that hammocks are cool and edgy. No one will really set up like this for a night of sleep.

If I were to hammock that high, I would be wearing a harness at all times and be clipped into a fall arrest system. I would abseil down and jumar up.

Or find a better place to hang!

Wellll! At a hang in Umstead Park in Raleigh, NC this spring, a church group was nearby. The kids had hammocks stacked 6 or 7 high and were heard discussing sleeping in them. Don't know if they actually did it or not. Highest one looked to be 10 to 12 ft off the ground. I remember a discussion with gunner76 that an accident could lead to news coverage of "The dangers of hammocks!"
Fortunately, no problems occurred.

Yes, not a smart idea especially for the person on top. I could see the parents crying on the news now: "He never sleepwalked once in his life. He was always a sound sleeper."

Funny, I was thinking the exact opposite: not a smart idea, especially for the person on bottom!
