I was just wondering if anyone's tried to hang the new Amok hammock from the Hammeck stand?
Would the perpendicular lie direction make it unstable? Any thoughts or experiences?
Thanks!

My concern would be trying to adjust the Amok while in it.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Hey WW, great question!
Unfortunately, we do not have a Draumr to test on the stand, so we cannot comment on the usability. I think the "length" should be acceptable, but I'm uncertain about stability. I will say, normally the stand is very stable when subjected to side-to-side rocking. It does sway a small amount from head-to-foot (of a standard hammock). Since the Draumr is perpendicular, the head-to-foot stability should be improved over a standard hammock, but that's merely hypothesis.
I am equally curious! If a Hammeck Stand owner is able to get their hands on a Draumr and post their findings, we would be very appreciative. Similarly, if a Draumr owner would be willing to lend us their hammock for a couple of days, we would be willing to work out a trade, which would include us paying for insured shipping in both directions. Your hammock would be returned to you in the same condition as it was sent to us. Contact us at [email protected] if you'd like to help us out! Thanks!
I have a Draumr 2.0 that I would be willing to send to you for testing on the Hammeck Stand since I will not be using it for about a month or so. I will send you an email later tonight/tomorrow or send me an email at wrightericv(at)roadrunner.com with the details and such.

Here is a link of one being used on a conduit TurtleDog stand (if that's what I should call it). I'm sure @Accrete will chime in if he comes across this thread.

Thanks so much Shug! That's very good news and makes the Draumr that much more appealing as a car camping option. In the less Piney areas of the southwest for example.

Thanks Shug! Is that the tarp hanging over to the left? Do you envision any issues adding the tarp to the mix? Also - just out of curiosity... how high off the ground is the top bar on the Hammock?
