I have a New River 3 Season Regular and an Owyhee 3 Season short. They take up a majority of the room in my pack.
What's the size of a compression sack that I would need for each?
Thanks!

I'm a firm believer that any of my insulation (sleeping bags/quilts, down jacket, even clothes, etc.) goes in a waterproof dry bag. It gets shoved in there pretty darn tight so it's almost (but not quite) as compact as a compression bag. Using compression sacks also isn't the best for insulation as you're literally using torque from the buckle straps to compress it. I can fit a full-length, tall, wide 40º quilt, and a full-length, long, and extra wide 30º underquilt in a 20L dry bag. Since those are down you might have to size up a little bit for your synthetic items.
Also, if you're conscience about weight something like an eVent waterproof compression sack is also heavy: 6 ounces vs 1.31 ounces for my 20 liter nano-sil dry bag.
I don't need waterproof compression bags since they'll be in a compacter bag in my pack. I'm trying to avoid buying a bigger pack or down quilts.
I have a ULA Ohm 2.0 and the quilts take 80% of the space.

I put my insulation and hammock in to a trash bag at the bottom of my pack, squeeze all the air out, twist the top, and tuck it back. Much quicker, fits the backpack perfectly, and doesn't cost much of anything.
