After looking at weights this new setup should be come in around 141oz (8.8lbs)...

    AMOK 3.0 w/tarp = 72oz
    EXPED 9LW = 44oz
    HG 20* Incubator +2.0oz = 24.7oz

My old setup came in at 109.6oz (6.9lbs)

    WBBB DBL 1.7 = 37.0oz
WB Superfly w/tie-outs and snake skins = 21.0oz
    HG 20* Incubator +2.0oz = 24.7oz
    HG 20* Phoenix +2.0oz = 26.9oz

2lbs heavier but the comfort may be worth it...Can't wait to get it and try it out.
Have fun with it all. For me the sitting up with good back support is a key factor to my enjoyment of the Amok. If you don't care for it he does have a 30 day return policy......http://www.amokequipment.com/returns

Thanks Shug for the great video, I just returned from 3 days in the Goat Rocks Wilderness and was sitting here on my break at work feeling bummed about not being in the woods and bam you bring me right back to the sticks. Thanks for the cheer up. Jim

Shug, that is most decidedly NOT FAIR!!! Tomorrow's my birthday, and to celebrate, i just bought myself a custom driver for my golf game...there goes the money for the Draumr: Looks like i'll have to wait for awhile. Maybe someone will have one at our group hang this upcoming weekend out on the Washington coast?

Have you tried to hook up an UQ on the bottom of that hammock? We have too many UQ's to have to invest in pads

Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.

I did try the JRB Greylock on it. That hammock is dependent on a pad for function. More test to come but no way around a pad. May add some warmth but still to do.

So the pad is a mainstay to it but maybe you can still use an UQ. How did the Greylock fit underneath. Looking forward to seeing your test.

I put it on sideways...suspension to suspension. Mainly under my buttocks. I do think a good Exped 9 XP pad will get me down to 0º. Maybe wrapping a down parka oround the top part of Draumr under back may work. I'll be playing around this winter.
