    I do love rigging a floating hammock...thankee.

    Thanks for doing the video.
It really would. A whole different beast for sure. Weird sleeping on a pad again but it works.

Looks like a interesting hammock and one more to possibly add to the hammock armada.
The only weak link I can see is the need for an air pad. Back in my tent camping days I had my fair share of a good nights sleep ruined by a leaking air mattress. One of the many reasons I went to hammocks.
A leaky air mattress in the AMOK could prove to be a ruined trip. After looking at air mattress reviews (Big Agnes, Exped, REI Stratus) on REI it seems the number one complaint with all of them is leaking. Makes me kind of leery of a system that relies on the weakest link.
Hmmmm this is going to be a tough decision.
Would like to order one, but.....

They do make repair kits for pads...and Gorilla tape will work in a pinch. But it could happen. Like a gathered end ripping or a tree strap breaking. Things can go wrong.
I'll always test my pad before I go to be for sure.

One the other hand, pretty sure getting the pad wet isn't going to decrease it's insulating properties. Give and take. I'd wager there are more hikers who rely on a pad than an UQ. I do love my downy goodness though.

Countless ground dwelling backpacking types go out with pads put on the ground (on purpose) and survive to tell about it. Heck I used and continue to use tents for over thirty years and have only ever had two flat pad experiences. I should think that pad use in a hammock, like the Draumr, might even be less risky.

    I concur hugely.
There is a weak link in every system. Sometimes tents blow away...I have seen it happen.

Great review, Shug. I am in lust with the Draumr and have a feeling my WBBB may be up for sale soon.

Thank you again for taking the time to do up those videos.

Really?! That is cool. Maybe try the Draumr before selling the WBBB as he does have a 30 day return policy and 2 year warranty....http://www.amokequipment.com/canada
Glad to see your liking it. Having gotten to know Jonas a bit I am rooting for his success. He designed something different for sure that actually works. Jonas is a mechanicla engineer and he told me he wanted to design his Dream Hammock.

They got port and starboard confused with the biners!

Love it though- glad I'm too big for one. Looks like the minimum hang distance could be less than 8' even.
