    Dutchware bling!

I am pretty new to this hammock thing but I took the plunge and just received my Dutchware bling in the mail! Some zingit, a mini biner and a stingerz for my tarp ridge line and some shock cord and zingit tarp worms for tie outs. Also 8 new titanium stakes that weigh less than one of old ones.

This is my first foray into Dutchware and I must say this stuff is incredibly small, incredibly light, and incredibly easy to use. Incredible!

One of the things I am enjoying about the hammock community is the number of cottage businesses that have sprung up around it. It feels good to support people who have turned a hobby into a lively hood. Big business is fine, small business is better.

Now I am just waiting on my UGQ Zeppelin and I'll be ready to roll in style!

Wait until you see a Dutch Hook in person ! The thing is so tiny I was afraid if I dropped it in the yard grass I'd never be able to find it! Now I want to use Dutch Bling on every tarp and hammock setup in the future ! I love the shipping time as well

My only concern on the Dutchware biner and stingerz is that the inside edges appear to be on the sharp side. I am using a Kelty Noah tarp and am concerned they may wear out the fabric tie outs after awhile. Should I put in a split ring on the tie outs or is this usually not an issue?

    Thanks again.

A lot of my DutchWare has arrived with sharp edges. I just touch them up with a Dremel or a bit of sandpaper, no worries!

Thanks for the suggestions everybody. I ordered a couple of his D rings that I'll sand down and larks head onto the tie outs. That should do the trick and make it easier to connect and disconnect the biner.

Re: rough edges on metal gear or DIYz....
the next time you see a plumber working someplace, drop a quarter in his butt-crack and ask him if he would give you six or 8 inches of this mesh stuff--

They almost always have a big roll of it to use when they prep copper pipes for soldering.

I just cut off little quarter inch strips, pinch a fold of them in the pliers on my mini-mult-pocket-itool, and no-more-burrs!
A one inch piece folded lengthways into a tube will hold a curve for inside problems.

There's always a chunk of it in the top tray of my toolbox. A six inch piece lasts forever for little jobs like these. And you can use even the little pieces about umpteengazillion times...
