Hi, I was thinking of doing a short hike up to the lower cabin in the pigeon Saturday morning August 15th for an over nighter and leave sometime on Sunday. Is there anyone else who would like to go. If your not sure where the pigeon river is its by vanderbilt.
You're tempting me on that one, but I'm out on the trail earlier that week and know I can't take off again too soon. I love that area and the big trees behind the lower cabin are perfect. Can't wait to get back there for the 2nd Annual Green Timbers Big Tree Hang in Feb of 2016. We've got to plan a fall trip there in October!

That's a really awesome place. I've never been to honeymoon cabin, but i've been to pickerel lake. I wish I could come, but work calls my name on saturdays. hope you find someone to go with!
The honeymoon cabin has been roped off for safety reasons. That sucks that you have to work on Saturday. Maybe next time.

I think michigan Dave is going to try to set up a fall hang at the cabin. We're not sure how long the cabins are going to be there and it's a great area to hang. We had a great winter hand there last year. Other than that I'm playing it by ear. I have weekends off but I'm working 60 hrs a week.
