What kind of snaps to use?

I have pretty much everything to make a couple of 40° TQs except snaps. I've decided to do a draw cord foot box, with velcro closure going up the legs, and topped off with a grosgrain tab with snaps to keep it from opening on its own. The question is what kind of snaps to use and where to get them from. I know there are metal and plastic varieties as well as different sizes and strengths. So, what have you used that worked well? Oh, and considering that I'll probably just be doing a handful of these ever, what tools/methods would you recommend for installing the snaps?

+1 on this. They are great. Get one of their #20 starter kits. Always use plastic snaps.

Kamsnaps are what came up first in my search if I remember right. I will have to look further into them. Thanks!

Practice on scrap material first. For me, successful snap application has been elusive.
