While Red Amsteel is cool in concept, it is Pink in reality. In my experience, the intensity of the color gets faded quickly with handling / splicing. Perhaps I got a hank off of a poor quality spool but, one bad experience was enough to dissuade me from purchasing Red again.

This seems to be true with all the amsteel I've handled, my hands always start to turn colors. I hope that coating isn't to toxic.
