Been going to the gorge since I was in scouts and every trip has been amazing. It's a brand new experience every time. You will have a blast no matter which route you take. Shug's videos are awesome! Hickery and him are an awesome duo.

Years ago my dad talked 2 guys into going down pinch in with felt soled hip wader's (they were fishing) came back out barefoot!! Thought they'd found his secert spot, figured out joke was on them!
I just came up pinch in Sunday it sure is fun, its like the steepest set of stairs for a mile.
Just a little South of Linville Gorge is Brevard, NC. Looking Glass Rock is a nice climb. Also in the Brevard Area is the Dupont State Forest, which is a day hike area with fantastic easily accessible water falls. I was fortunate to be there after days of very heavy rain.

What's a good source for topographical maps that might help me narrow it down?
