I, too, have been fortunate enough to find and heed the advice on this and other forums. My gear:

    Hammock and suspension: Warbonnet
    Tarp: Warbonnet
    Tarp suspension and tie-outs: Dutchware
    Snakeskins: Hennessy
    Underquilt: Arrowhead

My sleeping bag is Northface; the bag I shove everything but the sleeping bag into is L.L. Bean; my stakes are Groundhogs.

So I think I have a moderate amount of vendor diversity goin' on. Not bad for a newbie.

I have some variety, though certainly not as much as I'd like. I find that much of my gear is DIY, or in some less graceful cases just plain rigged. I've got a healthy order history from Dutch and RSBTR, an UQ from UGQ, and a tarp from Warbonnet.

I'm currently using items from:::2QZQ (UQP) Dutch blingies, Hammock Gear, UGQuilts, Amok (coming soon), mountain goat, black rock gear, Dream Hammocks, and devil woman. I have had 100% positive experiences using cottage industries and will continue to buy from them. I would never have found these small businesses if not for HF.

Just started out and I have a hammock from Hammeck, and I should have a Maccat tarp on the way soon.

When I find a company I like, I tend to stick with them instead of taking chances other outfits. (Unless a deal pops, where I take a chance.) Similarly, I tend to dump gear I didn't like and avoid buying their stuff again.

    With that said, I have;

    Hammocks:
2 WB Blackbirds with their strap suspensions
    1 Hennessey
    1 Grand Trunk kids hammock

    Tarps:
    1 WB Superfly
    1 WB Edge
1 diamond tarp included with the Hennessey hammock
Dyneema and Dutch bling suspensions for the WB's

    Quilts:
    2 UGQ UQ
    2 UGQ TQ
    1 Hammock Gear UQ

Obviously, I think highly of Warbonnet and Underground Quilts.
