New 3/4 Summer UQ: Quilted Baby Orca

Folks, I'm always looking for ways to make gear less expensive.
I found this quilted insulation, and made a Baby Orca...
    it turned out very well!

It's made with 4" diamond quilted black Taffeta, 3/4" loft PE insulation, with a poly scrim on the inside.
should be good to 40*F, maybe as low as freezing for warm sleepers.
It weighs 14 oz and can be compressed to about 2 liters.
    $75 plus $5 shipping.

Very cool. Thanks for giving us a more cost effective UQ solution!

    From website:

3/4 length Baby Orca UQs are 52″ long. About 45″ at the widest point.

Whats the difference between the Quilted Top Blanket? and the Top Blanket?
I don't see the Quilted Top Blanket on the webstore.
    I'd rather be hanging.

I didn't put it on the store yet... you can send me email directly to order one.

The Quilted Top Blanket it made using a 3 layer quilted material that has a nylon taffeta covering on the outside, PE batting in the middle and a poly scrim on the inside.

The Top Blanket that we've been making for some time has a nylon covering inside and out, with Climashield APEX insulation.

I have always been intrigued with multi-layer materials that can be readily shaped for use as hammock insulation.
