    New Mil hanger

Good morning. Recently bought a WBBB XLC with a SF tarp. I'm new to hanging but not to living outdoors. I have a pretty unique situation where I can live for basically free on an aircraft carrier stationed out here in Norfolk,VA that supplies all the luxuries I need when not camping, shower, electricity, a galley and laundry. However I spend 90% of my in port time camping in the woods out in Chesapeake,VA / NC border. Normally in a ground tent I just leave it set up when I leave in the morning and drive into work to shower and work for the day then drive back out to my camp site. Been in for just under 10 years and just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Looking forward to finding some answers and getting to know a few of you

Welcome. This is a great forum with a lot of wisdom. I spent five years on CVN-69 and pier 12 when in port. I actually hung a hammock in a fan space on the 02 level that our division (M) was responsible for while at sea. I spent time on the Blue Ridge Parkway every chance I got when in port.

Hi howdy from the Upper MidWest!! Thank you for your service.

Well, since you're spending mucho time in the woods and looking into hammocks.... guess you can't be all bad even if you are a squid!! Just a lil friendly ribbing from an old Army dog.

    Happy Trails and Happy Hanging!!!
