I've got an exciting giveaway opportunity for the forum!
Background:
As some of you may recall: a while ago Ripstop By The Roll introduced his SilPoly line of fabric's with a few hick-up's. His 1.0 SilPoly wasn't cooperating when it came to seam sealing. He eventually developed SilPoly 2.0, and offered to replace any SilPoly 1.0 orders. I took him up on the offer, but he didn't want the fabric back from me. So here I am with a bunch of SilPoly I'm not going to use. I figured the best way to "Pay It Forward" for Kyle's generous swap offer was to make some minimalist "Fair Weather Friend" tarps and give them away!
About the Tarps:
The tarps are Olive Brown 1.2oz/sqyrd SilPoly 1.0. They are 5ft x 10ft rectangles weighing about 7oz, and will have 6 tie out's (one will have 8, but after playing with the tarp I have decided not to include extra tie out's on the short side). The tie out along the long edge allows you to pull the slack out of the center of the tarp - a common complaint for this style of tarp.
The Fair Weather Friend Tarp is intended to be an alternate "emergency" tarp for those quick, fair weather weekend trips. An easy way to take 7-10oz or more out of your load when you don't need that big tarp you always carry!
The Giveaway:
A total of three tarp's will be given away.
Each tarp will come with a small silnylon stuff sack.
