    Inflatable pillow suggestions?

Wasn't sure where to post this. I have an EXPED inflatable head pillow (M) that I'm happy with but am looking for a knee pillow in my BMBH (bad back, bow legs & semi-side sleeper). My search has brought me to either a Montbell $33. or a Sea to Summit Aeros (L) $45. Both seem large enough inflated (approx' 16"X10"X5") while weight & pack size is good. Not at all happy with the prices but I trust the brands. While I'm always price conscious, I'm value orientated & will pay for quality & performance. I'm looking for knowledgeable input before I make a purchase, much appreciated.

Thx cjayflo. That is for the standard which I feel may be too small for a knee pillow. Another issue is I'm rural (nearest REI-Phoenix AZ, 100miles away) so Amazon is what I'm looking at due to free delivery to my door. Also open to other suggestions besides the two choices I list and also suppliers if offering low or no cost delivery.

HG and UGQ both make nice down pillows. You ever try those hospital pillows that are blown up with a straw? I use the Z packs pillow sack and stuff whatever I have left from wearing or pack that's soft in it ,works good and it's reversible waterproof stuff sack.

Old thread, but I noticed this as related from a post.

I tried so many pillows even while tent camping and never found one that I really liked. When I got into hammock, I bought this one a whim and I absolutely love it!

$9, perfect size, blows up in 4-5 pufffs, works great at any level of inflation, and the fabric feels great. I have 3 of them now - they pack away so small, I just pack it away with the hammock because I ALWAYS want a pillow with my hammock now.

Because you are just using this as a spacer for your knee - not something to cushion, warm, your head - it could be anything. You could put your day clothes in a stuff sack and use that (my UL friends would be proud of that suggestion). When looking for head pillows, I found the most expensive “high tech” pillows to be the worst in that they had some filling that sounded like crunching corn flakes right next to my ear every time I moved. I settled on a relatively inexpensive Sea to Summit that had a felt side. But if it’s for my knee - just wad something up and put it in something or tie it in a bundle to hold its shape.

In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

I was going to say use the EXPD for the Leg pillow, and get a Nemo Fillo for the head.

But then I always answer Nemo Fillo to any pillow threads

I second the Nemo Fillo. Like the others, a little pricey for what it is but it's comfortable.

I always pack my clothes in a Zpacks Medium-Plus Pillow dry bag. It serves as a great dry bag for my clothes on the trail and can serve a dual purpose. When I was a ground dweller, it was my go-to pillow for my head. I still pack it when I am hammock camping, but now use a Nemo Fillo for my head, but always have this with me in case I need something for my knees or when lounging etc.
