    OES 4 season Tarp Problems

Alright, So I ordered a 4 season tarp in the beginning of May and waited til Mid Jun to contact the vendor (which I had to do on this site and not the one I bought the tarp). He forget to look at the order apparently and he promised it would 2 weeks and then I would get it . Now all I get is radio silence and I only want a refund now. Has anyone heard from Brian?

He does seem to see and respond to threads pertaining to OES here. Maybe go to the last one he started and inquire. I'm sure he subscribes to his own threads. Oh and welcome to the world of hammocks!
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

He makes great quality gear, but horrible customer service. If you look in his vendor section, you'll see many complaints about being reachable and the long turn around time. It's a risk I took, even after reading all the negative comments, since I was in no hurry. And I did love the tarp, but it took multiple phone calls and emails to get through to him.

I'll have to agree. Great quality product, wonderful tarps but he tends to "forget" orders until you remind him. I ordered a 4 season a year or so ago waited and waited, finally had to contact him and say hey what's the deal your site said this was in stock. It quickly arrived a few days later though I never got a response to my inquiry. I think just the price you pay for homemade cottage gear. Unless their business has really taken off it's often not their day job and I think the pressures of real life will put the "hobby" business on hold. I'm not saying that's a valid excuse just the "it is what it is".

I understand that it can be side gig, but a long lead time like this and no communication is horrible. I didn't do the research on OES, that's on me. But I have to say this is kind of ridiculous.

I can get on a soapbox but I just want this resolved, and this is the last ditch effort before having to go through even more time consuming process just over a tarp.

Some folks had begun to think that everything was hunky-dory over there at OES. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I just scored one of his tarps on eBay. The quality is just awesome. I think it's worth some waiting. I hope it works out for you

    Thank you Brian.

I'll update this once I know everything has gone through. As of right now, looks like things are on track to be resolved.
