Years ago, a friend mentioned wanting to get a HH for backpacking. I amused him with faint interest in the venture. Like many, I was quagmired in the world of ground dwellers. Then after a few significant events, the quagmire faded when I stepped into the elevated world. I purchased the HH he had mentioned so long ago and I haven’t looked back. I purchased the Ultimate Hang and read it cover-to-cover while swaying in a bug-free breeze. The world expanded with Derek’s knowledge. Then I found the forum, the world once again expanded with the vast knowledge at my fingers. That’s where I discovered the shiny world of Dutch. My set up became knot free and that much liter with zing-it and tarp flyz.

Derek…I thank you for the introduction and illustrated read.
Dutch…thank you for the bling and for lightening my overall experience.
Forum members…thank you for the knowledge and feedback to my questions as I expand my elevated experience.

Dutch has makes great gear and has amazing service. I recently did an exchange with him and it was great. I hand out his website scribbeled on papper scraps at work daily for refrence daily... oh and my girlfriend is accusing me of having a man crush because i was "too" excited about dutch ware lol. Dereks book has done a great deal to get people out there on a hammock, and i really have to commend that. It is nice to be able to answer 1000 hammock questions by referring people to his book

Thank you Dutch and Derek. I ordered about $50 worth of bling from Dutch a couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed reading Derek's book. The illustrations made it all worthwhile. I would also sneak a big thank you in here for Ed Speer. It was his book and the SEHHA that really convinced me that hammocks were worthwhile.

Don't argue with the alligator until after you cross the river.

I would like send a big thank you out to Dutch and Derek. I have learned a lot about the art of hammocking from Derek's book and recommend it to anyone interested in camping in style. Dutch, thanks for coming out with all the gizmos a camper could ask for and feeding my addiction for more, lighter gear.

    Thanks again boys.

    Good Ol' Jeff
