    Hmmm, before you take the Velcro off the HH, think about the JRB The Nest. It actually uses the Velcro as it attaches to it for easy entry/exit AND once it's attached to the HH via the Velcro the Velcro is pretty much not involved in the opening/closing off the bottom entry.

    Just a thought but I would let her try it with the Velcro with some assistance and if she can get in/out then look really hard at The Nest UQ. I again agree with RamblinRev....pads in a HH Classis is just a plain PITA.

    I would suggest asking Tom Hennessy if he knows of other people with physical liabilities who have used their hammocks and what modifications, if any, were done. He might have some suggestions. This might even lead to a special hammock model that would open up hammock camping for handicapped people.
