Prussik allows the biner to slide when line is slack, so you can adjust it's position... but it's tight when the suspension has weight on it. That's a good rig!

My preference has always been to use slip knots, and avoid hardware. I have never needed more than 4' of line on each end, but I spend a lot of time in the rhodo jungles of North Carolina.

There are so many ways to do it, I figure that's best left to the Gear Boxer...

Used my gearbox for the first time yesterday night at Dan Nicholas Park
I really like it. It kept my stuff dry through sprinkling rain and drizzle throughout the night. The humidity was high but clothes and stuff in the gearbox were dry. Unlike everything outside due to humidity.
The only thing I wish it came with some cord to hang it up. Luckily I had some extra cord for a temporary rigging.

    Recommended ways to rig it?

I just saw your post on the sale. I grabbed one of these up for me and the boy. I've been eyeing this for way too long. The boy and I are going on a section hike next year so this will be a handy bit of rig for us to put the packs in at night. It will get at least a dozen test flights between now and then on group hangs and over night hangs though. Thanks for making it so easy to pull the trigger on it. Looking forward to using it soon.

I got one on sale. Besides the obvious, keeps things clean and dry, I really liked the fact that I can hang my gear at table height. I don't have to bend over or kneel down to get my gear. Really like it!

Thanks but I did not have mine then. Now I can picture it a lot better.

What kind of cord you use? How strong does the s Biner need to be I have some key chain ones not being used.

I like it being table height as well. I should've bought my wife one too.
