BWCA #47 Lizz & Swamp intel

Looking for some info on the Lizz-Caribou-Horseshoe-Winchell lake area. Specifically recommendations on known hammock-friendly sites, points-of-interest, etc. We will be heading up the last week of September.
Sawbill is our normal entry point, but decided to switch it up this time around.

    Any info is appreciated!

Brother and I loved site #628 (middle of three eastern-most sites) on Gaskin last September. Very pretty lake to boot.

The two sites which are relatively close together on horseshoe are both great sites to hang. I'd recommend the one facing west. I'll actually be heading through that area about 3 weeks before you so I'll try to keep note of which ones are the best and leave a nice pile of firewood before heading out. We're doing and that should be around where we stop for night 1 if we get a good start. A site on Vista, just south of Horseshoe is regarded as one of the best in the BWCA.

The above is an old thread, but if you're looking for info on EP-47 here is my trip report from two years ago. Feel free to pm me with any questions, I'd be glad to help.
