First time poster, long time follower. I first became interested in hammock camping last summer, when I was looking for just a back yard hammock and came across a sale on some low-end hammock camping gear. When it clicked that people were doing this, I was hooked. I purchased my first hammock and tarp on Woot! last July when the yukon outfitters stuff was up there. It's been fine, but I quickly decided I wanted to upgrade my tarp and ended up making one based on a design from diygearsupply. I'm now looking to upgrade my hammock with a DIY option as well (will post separately in the appropriate topic for that shortly). Since I got started I've been learning a ton via all of the awesome YouTube content (shug, prof. hammock) and realized that most of it was coming from HF members, so here I am to learn more.
