Glad you can make it ScraM. Looking forward to meeting you.
If you're NOBO from Damascus and it works out to stay at Saunders, there's a beautiful pine grove right behind the shelter. Ground is covered in a bed of soft needles. Trees perfect for hammocking. Water ok, too. It's a pretty spot to enjoy the evening.
I've received more donations from our vendors!
Dutchware: Gift Certificate!
Jacks R Better: Discount Coupon!
WhoopieSlings.com: Full Hammock Suspension of Tree Straps with Toggles & Whoopie Slings!
And I've heard from others whom I'm waiting on shipments from: TATO Gear, Wilderness Logic's and Underground Quilts!

Thank you Tim, I do enjoy helping all I can and these vendors do too. They have been most gracious and kind. I'm sure I can speak for all of us that we are truly grateful for all the support they lend us and deserve a lot of return for it!!!

Indeed!
With the huge growth in group hangs wanting to have a raffle our cottage vendors have been overwhelmed with requests for donations.
I am grateful that we can still do so & give back to this beautiful state park.
In return for the Hammock Demo that adds something different to the Fall Festival & our donations from the raffle, we camp for free in the group site that weekend, with the added days of Thurs & Sun night.
GHSP has been very good to the hammock folks from Hammock Forums. Not only has this GH Fall Festival group hang become a popular annual tradition but the GHSP staff (particularly Ranger Marcia) has been extremely helpful in keeping the first official Hammock Forums "Winter Hang" going from shortly after the formation of Hammock Forums.
So I am indeed thankful for our great cottage vendors of hammock goods that allow us to give back to the park.

I agree. That's why I buy gift certificates from vendors to donate to the raffle. I am a small business owner myself....and I will tell you, that sometimes it is overwhelming the calls I get for donations. Don't get me wrong I'm not a spokes person for our cottage vendors, just a small business owner that deals with this all the time. (Maybe a fully functional factory second that they couldn't or wouldn't sell would be a good thing for a donation)?
Gear swap items for the raffle? All the vendors have been nothing short of amazing... I hope this was alright to say and doesn't step on any toes...It wasn't my intention, just my two cents worth.
