Wearable Down Quilt = Vapor Accumulation

I was reading a recent post from someone talking about making a quilt (underquilt I believe) that is wearable, with the idea that it becomes dual purpose, less weight, etc. etc. But then that got me thinking about how the enemy of down insulation is moisture and is someone is wearing their down, then sleeping in/on it, does that reduce the effectiveness of the down to keep lofted. Maybe this is a moot point due to the new hydrophobic down options available, but for those that use a wearable version, do you notice any reduction in the loft of the quilt after wearing it for a few days on the trail?

I think mast people just wear these type of quilts while sitting around at night in camp and not actually while out walking the trail,, my wife has an exped wearable quilt and it's way too warm for walking around in..

They're not for walking on the trail, you shouldn't even be wearing a down or synthetic puffy on the trail either. It's for when you've come into camp and are sitting/standing around. If I've screwed up and am sweating too much, I try to air/dry out a little in camp before I get into my insulation. Wearable quilts seem interesting, but I haven't had the occasion to try one. Not sure I'm going to shell out for one without having a chance to demo one.

I have wearable quilts and they are solely for camp. Usually, only first thing in the morning. It's bad enough to have to get out of my hammock, but at least I don't have to get out of my quilt right away.
