Looks great, I'm going to try your idea some time during this winter. (sewing season) Where did you get that snap device? I have one almost like it, but, finding the right snaps is a little confusing. I tried looking on line, but, there are so many variables.
Since I retired, some times I stay awake all day, some times all night.

Very impressive wearable UQ. Do you have a picture wearing it? Looks like some great thought went into this construction.

It looks just like the one have from Kam Snaps online. Kamsnaps.com
They're very reasonable prices as well. :-)

I got my snap tool, and snaps from Hobby Lobby, which is just a couple minutes away. These are them http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/...pliers-165142/. The snaps themselves were right next to the pliers. I have gotten a ton of use out of these guys.

Edit: I will take a couple pictures of me wearing it tonight, to post tomorrow. I have honestly been a bit embarrassed to take those pictures. Selfies always feel so... egocentric and absurd. But, for the greater good of the hammocking (is that a word?) community, it will be done. I may also use that time to think through a better method for securing int in serape/poncho mode. Currently I am just using the 1/16th shock cord in the end channels.

Very nice. You've got my wheels turning as I have some CS and Argon laying around.

    Lots of Pictures

Here are some more pictures of my serape/under quilt. I think I will just refer to it as The S.U.Q. from now on. It is pretty steezy:

    IMAG1975.jpg

Here are a couple pictures of it laid out flat:

    IMAG1980.jpg
    IMAG1982.jpg

Close ups of the neck closure:

    IMAG1981.jpg
    IMAG1979.jpg

I figured I would take a couple more pictures of it in UQ mode while I was at it:

    IMAG1986.jpg

And here are just a couple shots of the TQ that goes with it. Sounded like there was some interest. Same orange Argon 90 shell, black Argon 67 taffeta liner (so soft!), zippered/cinch footbox, neck cinch, pad strap attachments (copied from Enlightened Equipment).

    IMAG1905.jpg Zipped up

When I finish my 1.0 NylonD hammock, I will start up a new post. Don't want to wander too far from the OP .

Thanks! It took me quite a while to wrap my head around how to make it. I think I just over complicated it for the most part. Looking at pictures of MLD's "M-Quilt" is what really solidified things for me.
