    Stands

I first met Mom and Pop Meck at Florida Hang 5, and first saw their newly developed stand there. I was very impressed with the stand, especially since Pop Meck spoke of improvements to come. Fast forward to this summers Smoked Butt hang in N.C. where Mom and Pop Meck came with a few of their stands in hand. I didn't win the one in the drawing but was able to buy the pair that the Mecks were using. So now I have a pair of them and am happy with them. Their stability is great, easy set up and take down, and the appearance is beautiful. My only problem with them, if I actually have one, is that my wife can't carry both of them at one time, lol. Oh yeah, doing business with these folks was a piece of cake. I look forward to setting these stands at a lot of hangs in the days to come.

    Nice people and nice products.

That's a great stand. Did you get the extension for the bridge hammock or is there enough room?
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

I got one extension with them and one on the way. The total length with ext. is 14 ft. I have not yet tried the WBRR as I have it hanging between two trees for my every night use.

The RR will fit just fine on the stands with the extension piece.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I've got the DIY Hammeck stand and finally had a chance this past weekend to cut some conduit the try it out with my Ridgerunner. I cut the middle pieces at 6.5 feet for a total span of somewhere between 14 and 15 feet (didn't think to measure it while it was set up unfortunately). Looks like the regular Hammeck stand with the extension at 14 feet will be plenty long enough.

It is nice and stable even at that length. Going to be using this when I'm out with the Scouts and there isn't any trees nearby (not often, but has been known to happen).

My hammeck diy stand sits in my dining room and I occasionally string my netty up and sleep there. It is moving to the back yard soon. My neighbors son has expressed interest in getting out of the tent and into a hammock. I loaned them the ultimate hang book and will get him into the hammock in the backyard. He saw some people in the Adirondacks with hammocks which peaked his interest.

Today I received delivery of my other extension piece so I am now complete. I have also hung the RidgeRunner and it is perfect, and at 14ft it would be hard to find a tarp that will not work. In use these stands are very stable, nothing to shake or rattle. We are already thinking of places to use them, so we will probably be getting out a bit more than usual. I have a total of six outdoor stands now, I may have to host a hang in my back yard.

Mine is set up in my bedroom with my Netty. I like it so much more than a turtle dog stand I was using before
