    Lake Valhalla, Stevens Pass/PCT, Washington

One-night backpack to Lake Valhalla off of Stevens Pass on the PCT (Washington Section K.) Sweet and easy spot to hike to and hammock camp. We went in via Stevens Pass (6 miles and around 1200 feet up) and out via the backdoor to Smithbrook road (3 miles and 1500 feet down.) Definitely has trees that are good for hammocks, but it was a challenge to find a site we liked (with a view of the lake) that could take two hammocks near each other.

We are spoiled her for certain. :-) Washingtonians take our trails personally.

Not sure why the trip report link wouldn't open; it just worked again for me. The WTA website is a bit buggy, though.
