    Hyper D XL DIYers

This may be a stupid question but here goes anyway. RSBTR offers Hyper D XL in 72", Due to the diamond pattern does orientation matter when making a hammock out of it? Should construction be with the roll or can it be across the roll? I interested in a DIY Hyper D hammock 64" wide by 132" long. With a 72" width roll, one could sew a hammock with 2 yards of this material, as long as orientation doesn't matter. If it does one would need just under 4 yards if my calcs are correct. Maybe this is why they're sold out.

Are you are suggesting to have a seam in the middle crossways from side to side? This may cause some pressure point issues effecting the hang and you would need a triple stitch for strength and I think you would still have a to watch for the stitches pulling.

You will need all of 4 yards because you have to create a channel at each end and whip it.

If you buy 2 yards of material, it will measure 72" by 72". Not enough for a hammock, unless it's a bassinet.
