    WI>KMSF-SU>TBD>Which type of trip?

    In this thread:
    https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...Hang-out-in-WI

This question was asked: "Are the majority of hangers interested in a WI Group Hang in the South Kettles looking for a meet at a campsite, an out and back to a shelter or a mini through hike?"

Well, here is the poll for that.

    Vote away!!

    Clarification of poll options.

Campground = Meet at a group campsite and hang there. Also known as car camping. Some will day hike, others will hang around camp. The dayhikers will appreciate a hot meal upon their return. Hint hint!!

Out and Back to a Shelter = Short hike from a parking lot to a shelter. Some will day hike, others will hang around camp. The dayhikers will appreciate a hot meal upon their return. Hint hint!!

Through Hike = Short hike from a parking lot to a shelter Friday night, longer hike to a different shelter Saturday, medium hike to a different parking lot Sunday then carpool back to the Friday parking lot.

Not Interested = "I have trouble getting out of the house."

As you can see, I was having a little fun with this.

I brought this quote over from the original thread because I think it is important for people to keep in mind. Plus, it saved a little typing!

For those interested the local chapters of the Ice Age Trail Alliance give awards to those hiking all the segments in the area. Walk the Wauk http://www.iceagetrail.org/volunteer...waukee-county/ about halfway down the page. Kettle Trekkers http://www.iceagetrail.org/volunteer...ferson-county/.

If my memory serves me correctly, it was a few years ago that I stopped there to look, the state forest headquarters has a photo album of 32 milers. They also award a patch to those that hike the entire 32 miles in the area. I could be wrong, and probably am, but I remember this from when I hiked from the trailhead on Hwy 12 to the parking area on Hwy 67 South of Hwy ZZ.

So my vote goes for a thru hike of the area, quite doable on a 3 day weekend I would think.

So being new to the forum, I wasn't aware I could vote for more than one thing. So I am down for a thru hike as well.
