Edit: You can cut the RL strip first. Fold it in half lengthwise first, right side out and make the cut. Then take another layer of fabric, fold it lengthwise, right side out and cut the other two side strips fitting out. When done cut this layer lengthwise in half. This procedure saves a bit fabric.
I was still a bit confused by a situation where the fabric width were only 45" and three layers of fabric were required to get the desired tarp width.
I just noted also that only a bit less than 9 yards of fabric are required to build a 11' side seam Superfly clone if the fabric has a normal width of about 60" or more. This is only a bit more than in case of a two strips winter tarp and imo ignorable, but also under the same assumption that the cut is done as explained above.
For me this means I have enough fabric to try a side seam winter tarp and I can save weight if I wave on a grosgrain ridgeline which I had in mind first.
