    Thanks for the suggestions.

    I've seen kee klamps used for some fairly heavy duty projects so I'm guess they would be plenty strong enough, but I guess the devil is in the detail in terms of how the stand is loaded.

    Keep clamps should be fine so long as you are using schedule 40 aluminum or steel pipe with them. Papasmurf built a stand with speed rail clamps, and they're same thing different manufacturer.
