My son and I took a trip before his school started. We left Evergreen, CO and went to Tijeras, NM then to Silver City, NM then camped, fished, geocached and panned for gold for five nights on our way back to Colorado.
I designed and built my own under quilts and they worked well in temps ranging from 30-45° each night.
Pictures are of our setup and of the places we went.
We camped at Quemado Lake, NM, Jemez Falls, NM, Chama, NM, N.of Pagosa Springs, CO, and Turquoise Lake near Leadville, CO.

We did not camp in Silver. That is my home town and all of my family still lives there so we visited, although I did sleep outside in their tent trailer as all of the trees are juniper and cedar.
The temps were a comfortable 60 at night and mid eighties during the days.

Those are some huge tarps, what are they?
I was thinking the same. Are these DIY tarps from SilNylon!
9X12' we use them when we truck camp. Most times we can fit under one tarp.
