    G'day from Arnhemland, Australia

    G'day all.
I'm a long time hammock camper from Aus (well, nearly 10 years) and I've used the same Jungle Hammock from mosquitohammocks.com for the whole time. It has served me really, really well in both the tropics, arid and temperate zones all over Australia.
I found this forum after I decided after all this time to customise my system a bit. I can't believe the wealth of good info on here! I'd never even heard of whoopie hooks etc... or ridgeline suspension. Lol. You guys do some truly innovative stuff.
I've purchased Atlas Straps, carabiniers and continuous loops for my hammock, and I'm really looking forward to my first trip out with the new gear.
I use the rain fly that came with my hammock, mostly, but on occasion (especially in the wet season) I lug a 3.5mx3.5m homemade oilskin tarp as a fly. It's heavy, but I love it. Usually, I only use that one when I'm camping near the truck. Lol.

Anyway, thanks again for the great info, and I look forward to chatting with y'all.

Being down on the bottom side of this planet don't your hammocks all hang upside down? :-)

    Thanks everyone

Yeah, it's great up here up, mate. I'm pretty spoiled. I've got my eye on a Tas move at some stage in the future, though, Metz...

I found that website last night, Karen. Lol. I bought some loops from them :-D
You're in Jindabyne? I grew up around Corryong, Walwa/Jingellic and Lankeys Creek. I've spent a fair bit of time up your way, and trapped wild dogs for a while in Koz NP.
