I bet we could walk you through splicing a set of whoopies on site if you bring some amsteel, and some zing-it/lash-it if you need a SRL.

+1 on bringing your tarp. A 9' x 8' tarp gives you a RL just over 12' diamond pitched, should still be enough side coverage for all but the worst storms.
