Got the mail today and found a GC from 2QZQ. Got the chance to meet them at the Grayson Hang and I always like being able to meet and talk to the vendors and especially that I have bought gear from.
Also got a box from Bill at White Box Stoves. He had emailed me and told me that he was sending a box of stoves so I thought we were getting two stoves for the raffle. I was blown away when I opened the box and found 4 stoves in the box.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Sign me up for $60 worth of raffle tix. My old $20 White Box stove is getting sort of beat up.

Three weeks to go. Long range weather forecast for Merchants Millpond during the weekend of Oct. 31 shows high temps in the low 70's with nighttime lows around 50 degrees. Cloudy on Friday, a few scattered showers on Saturday afternoon, bright sun on (what else?) Sunday.

Don't know if the raffle is going to epic but we do have a lot of good stuff from the vendors and some more stuff due in. 2QZQ said that since I did not win anything at last years raffle, I should win something this year
Just about finished drying out all my gear from the soggy Grayson Hang. I have a couple of cheap utility tarps outside I have been trying to dry out but it keeps raining just enough to keep them damp and I have one of my good hammock tarps I want to reseal but I need a day with not rain to do it.

Ok, I think I have the menu figured out now. Friday Breakfast: Biscuit casserole and sausage gravy, Cheesy grits. Friday Dinner: Meatloaf, greenbeans, new potatoes, Chicken Pie. Pineapple cream cheese cobbler, Cherry cobbler, Chess pie. Saturday Breakfast: Pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Saturday Dinner: Chicken and dumplings,Jetta Mae's Spaghetti, Sweet potato pie. I will have some red velvet brownies for snacking.
The ingredients I need someone to bring are:
1. Heavy cream
2. a 1/2 gallon of milk
3. 4 dozen eggs
4. small half and half
5. 5-6lbs of bacon
6. 4 cans of crescent rolls
