Hammock Anchors, Whoopie slings or straps with Dutch buckle?

Which does every one prefer? I'm thinking about the anchors, or the dutch buckles. Ultimately, I want it to detachable and be able to adjust the suspension easily.

The anchors will have a slightly lower profile and IMO be a bit easier overall to adjust. But in now way would the Dutch buckle be a bad choice either.

I just ordered the b.i.a.s. strap anchors after replacing my whoopies with continuous loops. I would have ordered Dutch's cinch bugs but they come with straps and then I'd have to get the sewn in Dutch clips and I couldn't afford almost $60 for yet another suspension.

I've tried all three and i prefer the hammockfan's anchors. what I like is that you only need continuous loops on all your hammocks and one pair of anchors per person, versus having buckles or whoopies on each hammock. in terms of ease of adjustibility, it's almost as easy as whoopies. i found the dutch cinch buckles to stick and not adjust as easily.

I just put together new suspension over the course of the last couple months. It went from woopie hooks with tree straps, to same with sew in dutch clips, to finally ending up with the sew in dutch clips and strap anchors. I have to say the combination of dutch clips and strap anchors is great, I don't think I'll be changing this set up for a while. It's extremely easy to set up. It weighs 6 oz on the dot but for the convenience I really don't mind concidering my 3 day pack weight is 15lbs minus water.

I have all three and use all three. I have settled on the anchor myself. I like Dutch better than the woopies and like the anchors better than all of it. Once you jump the learning curve on adjusting the on setting the anchor, which is all of about a two inch jump, you should be satisfied. I like that I can swap out the amsteel more easily. I'm always tinkering with amsteel and like to change up the colors from time to time just for an excuse to play.

I've been using my anchor for about 8 months now and no issues. BIAS is good to deal with as well.

I've used all three, and ultimately switched to Strap Anchors, which are also available from BIAS. They are the easiest to adjust and have the most flexibility in terms of suspension length.

Ha! I hear you on the tinkering with amsteel! The first time I made a continuous loop I felt like Tom Hanks in Cast Away when he started the fire
