I had the same questions on the HG CF Std or WP myself. After reading all the post on this question and getting some opinions through IM's I have placed my order for a 11' WP. Thank you all for your input.

Well I finally decided and placed an order! I went with a 12' standard cuben fiber camo with doors. I went with the 12' so I don't have to pitch it quite as tight to the hammock and still have coverage on the ends if I don't want to close the doors. Now comes the wait! Does anyone know if HG is still having delays on their cuben fiber?
I think you'll be happy with the 12' ridgeline. The WP in camo on Hammock Gear's web site is actually mine (my photo too). I had a couple of WB Superfly (one of which I still loan out). The Superfly is about twice as heavy in the same size as the WP 12'. However, I would agree that it does not pack down as compressed as the Superfly. I just like the camo pattern & the light weight much more. It was worth over double the SF to me.

I talked with hammock Gear the other day and the hold up is from the supplier. If you look around other vendors are who well CF for DIY'rs are holding onto what they have because of this temporary shortage. If you ordered Camo you might get your tarp a little sooner. There is a long list waiting for the green....they sell more green std tarps because of weight and cost. Good luck with your tarp it will be worth the wait I'm sure.
There is still a delay on the cuben fiber

Last January I picked up a HG standard cuben fiber tarp with doors. It's been through six or seven heavy coastal storms (some people call them "monsoons") and one tornado with no problems, even when hung "high".

I have seen that tarp in action and I keep suggesting to OBXH2O that he needs to leave behind at a group hang so I can add it to my collection.Last January I picked up a HG standard cuben fiber tarp with doors
I have two HG Cuben tarps with doors ( bought one new and one used ) and they are great tarps and weigh in at 8+ ounces.
Picture is of OBXH20 when he won the tarp
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
