I have decided to return to a strap&buckle style hammock suspension. For those of you who have experience with two or all of the buckles mentioned in the title, what is your preference and why?

Dutch buckles would bey choice. SMC rings require a halt hitch to prevent slippage and the WB style can be hard to adjust after being loaded.

Dutch>SMC>WB
it's not in your list but my preference is for hammockfan's strap anchors sold through buttinasling. I've tried the dutch and WB, and prefer the strap anchor.

+1 for strap anchors.
Of your 3 choices I have not used the WB. My order of preference is Dutch then SMC but they are both close. I always toss a slippery half hitch in behind whatever I am using so I don't see a lot of difference.

#1 Dutch
#2 WB
#3 SMC
The WB and Dutch are pretty close for me, but the Dutch are slightly easier to adjust. The SMC rings will work, but if you forget the back-up knot, or don't have it tied right, you will be on the ground......ask me how I know that.

I've had the rings drop me when I forgot to tie the hitch. I prefer the regular buckles from Dutch. I still tie the a hitch now no matter what I'm using.
I started with rings and then had moved to WB buckles but had a lot of problems adjusting the WB buckles. I now have the dutch buckles and love them but still put the half hitch
Just make sure the webbing is centered in the Dutch cinch buckle. I made that mistake the first time I tried it and now need a new strap.
