Adding a structural ridge line to my jungle

I have been considering adding a structural RL to my Claytor Jungle. Has anyone on here done that and if so, how did you run it exactly?

What would the main purpose of that be?

A ridge line will help to keep your hammock at 30 degrees for a good hang.

    take an amsteel continous loop

thread 1 end thru the channel at the end

larkshead the loop onto a descender ring

i have whoopies attached to the rings to suspend

i have done the above but haven't added a continuous ridgeline yet but plan too

run the ridgeline between the descender loops and larkshead the ridgeline to the loops

    Those are two good questions.

... and that's a good answer. Be aware that many ridge lines are not intended to be structural, that is they're intended to hold up a mosquito net or serve as a reference only (not a support) and may fail if not strong enough. If the only hang spot you find has trees that are 25' apart, you either shinny 10 ft. up each tree or use a structural ridgeline. (Use the same line for the ridgeline that you use for the hammock, e.g. 7/64" amsteel.)

A structural ridge line would allow you to hang properly between 25ft trees without compensating with height?!
