Will do. Would it be possible to have one made in a custom length to avoid using a foot pad? I'm about 5'9" and it will be used on a 60" wide hammock if that helps.

We can only go so long on the Jarbidge before we have to cut it like a New River and at that point material wise we are making a New River The Jarbidge is priced the way it is as it maximizes the use of fabric with the least possible waste in how we build them. Changing it alters that equation. We can go a little wider but longer is why we have that jump to the other models of quilt.

Depends on the hammock you are using, where you set the Jarbrige ect. I just throw a jacket or similar down in the foot area when needed for insulation
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I think our pad is pretty good.

I am 5'9" and mine goes to my ankles... It's more of a 5/6 length under quilt for me. You just need a very small pad if anything.. I have been fine without one many times out. Also, I had quilt hooks installed on mine to keep my jarbidge a little more snug on my Roaming Gnome. They work great (as do triangle thingies). Good luck.

I'm also 5'9" and found that when I pull the head end way way up (like to the top of my head), any sag in my jarbidge goes away with just the supplied suspension...the foot end cinches up around mid thigh but that's ok because the the critical and heaviest parts of my body, my shoulders/back/butt, stay nice and warm because the uq is snugged up against them.

No matter what suspension/configuration you end up with, you'll like this uq alot.

I use a 1 season Jarbridge for 3 seasons in Upper Michigan. I'm 5'10", use it on a 10' Thunderbird. I recommend the triangle thingies, oe. suspension is tight. I don't use a foot pad, the footbox in my sleeping bag covers enough that my feet don't get cold. I leave the Jarbridge and UQ protector attached to the hammock, it all fits inside the stuff sack, which is really handy.
